Good Word for the Day: Jan 21, 2012

Have you ever been caught in one of those conversations…? “What do you want to do?” “I don’t know, what do you want to do?” In order to end these frustrating looping conversations, someone has to take the initiative. In a much deeper sense, this is what the “head” of a marriage does: Takes the initiative to introduce Godly, unconditional love into their relationship. The Bible says, “The husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the Church.” This is not license for the husband to “be in charge” or hold the checkbook or have the last word. The word for “head” in the original Greek language means “life” not power or authority. The husband is called on to initiate Jesus’ unconditional love to keep the marriage away from the endless, looping frustrating conversations that stall, injure or sometimes kill the marriage.

The “head” of the household receives and accepts the love that Jesus has and then funnels that into the marriage. For more information visit my web site.
