GLEANER’S FOOD BANK, GINA’S MEMORY VERSE TEST
This week’s show opened up with Michael and Gina talking about a family in New York who “unplugged” for six full months. No TV, Internet, video games, cell phones, etc. The results were surprising. Could you do it?
The Roundtable kicked off with Pastor Karl telling us about a scientist who was an atheist until his scientific life lead him back to God. Dr. Dana had much to say about over the counter medications, what to look for and how to keep your family safe from bad drug interactions. Jeff Carter wrapped up the roundtable with a discussion of personal finances for families.
Gina’s Morning Memory Verse was next. In her second test, Gina received an A+ from Michael as she nailed the verse…
Search me O God and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm139:23-24
|More than 30 friends and family join Michael & Gina
at Gleaners Food Bank on Saturday!
After the break, Dewayne Wells, President of Gleaners Food Bank of SE Michigan joined us in the studio. Gleaners has delivered food to the hungry in Michigan for more than 100 years. Mr. Wells shared with us a number of programs such as the Kids Helping Kids and the High School Food Fight.
Later that day, Michael and Gina brought more than 30 volunteers down to Gleaners in Warren for an afternoon of volunteering.
It was a great day packing lunches for school kids in Metro Detroit. In the end, we were able to prepare more than 4 TONS OF FOOD! Below you can see a short video of the blessings that Gleaners provides to this community.
