Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
So, who’s with me on this?! I believe we all have a longing to be known, but often it is our “offensive ways” that cause us so much trouble. The good news is that God knows us. He knows our hearts, our minds, our fears and our offensive ways! The “bad” news is that in order to be known by those we love (spouse, parents, children, siblings, friends) we must let down our guard, humble ourselves and be willing to expose our weaknesses. Easier said than done for most of us! Thankfully we have a God who knows everything about us and we can rely on his example to show us the way.
I am so glad you are taking this challenge with me! Please share your memory verse in the comment section below. It’s always more fun being challenged when you’re doing it with friends!
My first week quiz result was a B- according to my husband who does not grade on a curve! I wasn’t kidding when I said that I am not great at memorization, but I am going to remain committed, even at the risk of embarrassing myself on the radio every week. Talk about exposing weaknesses! A steady diet of God’s Word is worth a little humiliation!
Looking forward to being with you on the radio tomorrow! (7:30 AM live or 1:00 PM rebroadcast) Please give us a call and join in on the conversation! 866-423-9578 (WLQV)
